Trump’s misspelling of Biden’s name trends on Twitter

The word “Bidan” trended across Twitter on Saturday after President Trump tweeted what seemed to be an accidental typo of former Vice President Joe Biden’s name.
“North Korea fired off some small weapons, which disturbed some of my people, and others, but not me,” Trump said in a tweet earlier on Saturday.
“I have confidence that Chairman Kim will keep his promise to me, & also smiled when he called Swampman Joe Bidan a low IQ individual, & worse. Perhaps that’s sending me a signal?” he continued.
But after the error, Trump deleted the tweet and reposted another containing the same words minus the misspelling of Biden.
North Korea fired off some small weapons, which disturbed some of my people, and others, but not me. I have confidence that Chairman Kim will keep his promise to me, & also smiled when he called Swampman Joe Biden a low IQ individual, & worse. Perhaps that’s sending me a signal?

But by then, hundreds of people had already seized on the mistake online.
My phone autocorrects “Joe Bidan” to “Joe Biden.”

It’s incredibly chilling for the President of the United States to excuse the belligerent actions of a North Korean dictator who murdered American citizens while applauding attacks on Democratic opponents like “Joe Bidan” just before playing golf in Japan on Memorial Day weekend.

A number of users also found humor in Trump misspelling the former vice president’s name in a tweet also taking aim at Biden as a “low IQ individual.”
