Harris calls Trump ‘a national security threat’ after he says he’d take information from foreign power

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) called President Trump “a national security threat” Wednesday night after Trump said he might not inform the FBI if a foreign country offered him information on a political opponent.
“China is listening. Russia is listening. North Korea is listening,” Harris tweeted. “Let’s speak the truth: this president is a national security threat.”
In the Wednesday interview, Trump would not commit to calling the FBI if offered damaging information.
“I think maybe you do both,” Trump said when asked whether he would contact the authorities or accept such an offer.
“I think you might want to listen. There’s nothing wrong with listening,” he told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos
. “It’s not an interference. They have information. I think I’d take it. If I thought there was something wrong, I’d go maybe to the FBI.”
Several of Harris’s fellow 2020 Democratic presidential candidates reacted similarly to ABC’s release of the clip. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand
(D-N.Y.) reiterated her call for impeachment hearings, while Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) also called for Trump to be impeached.
